Vincenzo Galdi is a Professor of Electromagnetics in the Department of Engineering at the University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy, where he leads the Fields & Waves Lab. He has held several research-associate and visiting positions at abroad research institutions, including the European Space Research and Technology Centre, Boston University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology, and University of Texas.
He has co-edited two books, co-authored over 350 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences, and is the co-inventor of thirteen patents.
He is currently serving as an Associate Editor of Optics Express, as an AdCom member (IEEE AP-S representative) in the IEEE Nanotechnology Council, and as a regular reviewer for many journals, conferences and funding agencies. He has served as a Track Editor (2016-20), Senior Associate Editor (2015-16), and Associate Editor (2013-14) of the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, and as a Board Member of Heliyon (2015-24).
Dr. Galdi is a Fellow of the IEEE and of Optica, a senior member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, and a member of the American Physical Society. He is also the recipient of an Outstanding Associate Editor Award (IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2014) and a URSI Young Scientist Award (2001).
He is the co-founder of the spinoff company MANTID srl, and the startup company BioTag srl.
