Ilaria Gallina

Former postdoctoral researcher and Ph.D. student (now technical officer at AGCOM)

Ilaria Gallina was born in Salerno, Italy, in 1979.

She received the M.E. degree (summa cum laude) in Electrical Engineering in 2004, from the University of Salerno, Italy, and the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering in 2008, from the University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy.

In 2010, she received a Young Scientist Award at the XX URSI Commission B International Symposium on Electromagnetic Theory.

From 2008 to 2010, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sannio and the University of Basilicata, Potenza (PZ), Italy.

Her research activities were focused on aperiodically ordered artificial materials and transformation optics.

Since 2010, she has been working as a technical officer at the Italian Regulation Authority for Communication (AGCOM).
